Our goal is to provide you with a personalized solution, based on more than just a general idea or book written for the masses. A solution based entirely on you, your history, your concerns, your environment, and your career. We firmly believe that you cannot appropriately or effectively address challenges arising in your career without a deeper understanding of you.

What will I achieve through Vantage Career Consulting?
Our objective is to help you to consider work and work-life challenges on a deeper level, and to convert this understanding into practical solutions. By identifying, exploring, and understanding the complexities that exist in your career/life, we help you to develop and apply the tools and insights you need to attack your career obstacles in a new and more effective way.

Why do these complexities matter?
Walking blindly at the same obstacle repeatedly yields only disappointment and frustration. Clearly seeing the obstacle enables us to overcome it.

Some people can't find confidence in their career, even though their achievements and abilities would suggest otherwise.
Some people fear success, no matter how badly they seem to want it.
Some have difficulty with a boss that everyone else seems to tolerate.
Some can't seem to find a job and leave home, even though it's all they think about.
Some can't seem to settle on a direction, even though they know a career change is necessary.
Some can't seem to bring themselves to retire or slow down, no matter how badly they want to.

These complexities are what drive Vantage's process. When your conscious intention seems to not be yielding the results you think it should, something deeper must be holding you back. Our job is to help you to identify it...and change it.

How do you address these complexities?
Vantage Career Consulting brings the concepts and practices of deeper, more exploratory psychology to a short-term, career-focused process. By utilizing our psychological and therapeutic experience, we are able to identify - in a short amount of time - the specific and individualized complexities that may be affecting your current situation, and then delve into the nuances of those complexities to create practical, lasting solutions.

What will the actual sessions look like and how long will the process take?
The first two sessions are focused on assessment, used to gather individualized data and history pertinent to the current situation and identified goals. The remaining sessions are used to process identified complexities and develop and implement new approaches and responses.

The process can take as long or as short as you need. The minimum is a 2 session assessment, used to formulate an understanding of the issues at hand and provide a basic roadmap for how they can be addressed. Often, however, our engagements last 5-10 sessions, as the additional sessions are critical in helping our clients make the changes that will benefit them. Those that are looking for even more depth, discovery, and change are welcome to continue beyond 10 sessions, for as long as they see fit.

Sessions may be conducted in person or remotely.
